11 Weeks Left!

Ok, so I didn't do too well keeping track of my 39th year.  I had some interesting life changes, but all in all it's been a good year.  I realized that I only have about 11 weeks left before I turn 40 and I've put on a few pounds.  My goal is to lose 10 lbs before my birthday.  I'm not sure if I'm PMSing right now and retaining water.  I'll weight myself again next week to see if I really have put on a few too many!  I love not having my period, but I also don't know when I'm ovulating.  Someone told me that I can't get bloated anymore since I don't have a uterus, but I think that my body still has some of the symptoms.  This week my breasts were more tender than usual so that was a little sign that something was up.

I am going to use this blog to keep track of my workouts.  I've been following some people who do this and I think it will be a nice diary to refer back to.  I also just treated myself to a FitBit One.  I had some Target Gift Cards that I've been holding on to.  I've been using a pedometer app on my iPod, but I only use it when I take the dogs on their walks.  I don't wear it when I do my daily activities.  I'm curious to see how much I move throughout the day.  The only bummer is it doesn't track weight lifting activities, yoga, and Pilates.  Another app I am going to start using is the Spark People food and activity tracker.  I hate tracking my food because I know what I'm doing wrong and I don't want to see it.  I started tracking my food today and so far so good.  The nice thing is that the bad snack foods that I kept munching on is all gone.  I ate it all!

Another reason I'm trying to start tracking my activity and food intake is my current state of employment.  I am hoping to get a job soon and it might have me either at a desk or in a car for prolonged periods of time.  This is completely different than my last job.  I was always moving around and never got to sit down.  The only time I sat was to go to the bathroom and that was only if I was lucky!  Now I'm just waiting to see what type of career I will start in my 40's!
